Our Winter 2026 CSA share includes eight weeks of deliciously intentional comfort foods: Soup by A Broken Angel, with bread by Mill Fire Baking. Runs Jan 9 – Feb 27. Please order by Dec 26th. Space is limited, and shares are available until sold. If you have questions, email info@abrokenangel.com.
How it Works:
Much like a traditional CSA share (Community Supported Agriculture), our Soup & Bread CSA—Community Supported Artisan, if you will—helps support both businesses throughout the season! You pay in advance for eight weeks, and the soups and breads rotate weekly.
With A Broken Angel and Mill Fire Baking both found on NE 2nd Street, we thought it only natural for two small businesses that focus on small-batch artisan foods and regional, sustainable ingredients to collaborate on this creative offering. We'd love nothing more than to nourish your bodies and feed your souls throughout this winter, and beyond.
We keep it fun by sending a weekly reminder newsletter with a bit of history on each soup and bread pairing. Customers tell us they’re enjoying these stories and their new Friday dinner ritual!
We’re offering the CSA one more time at 2025 prices:
Partner Share (2-person) $176. Includes 1 quart of soup for eight weeks, plus an equivalent bread portion.
Family share (4-person) $352. Includes 2 quarts of soup for eight weeks, plus an equivalent bread portion.
All menu items are vegan, and each soup will be paired with fresh bread tailored to the weekly selection. Pickups are on Fridays at the food cart between noon and 6 p.m. (A Broken Angel, 1125 NE 2nd St., Bend). Additional bread, soup, or other complimentary items may be available for purchase on pickup days—please ask! And of course, the food cart will be open as well.

Week 1 ~ Jan 9: Black-Eyed Pea Succotash.
Week 2 ~ Jan 16: Winter Cassoulet.
Week 3 ~ Jan 23: Cream of Wild Mushroom.
Week 4 ~ Jan 30: Pozole.
Week 5 ~ Feb 6: Mayocoba Chili.
Week 6 ~ Feb 13: Smoked Ratatouille.
Week 7 ~ Feb 20: Roasted Poblano Potato.
Week 8 ~ Feb 27: Beluga Lentil. Due to supply issues, we will be substituting French Lentil, a favorite from the Fall CSA.

A Broken Angel is always animal-product free ~ we source mainly organic and pick local/regional vendors whenever possible.
Attention those with special dietary needs: While we note common allergens and dietary preferences and take steps to minimize the risk of cross-contamination, we have a small kitchen and do not guarantee that any items are safe for people with peanut, tree nut, sesame, soy, wheat, or other allergies or sensitivities.
